I had the opportunity to work with Lynda and Jason when I needed to replace two panels on my garage overhead door. The customer service was outstanding Lynda has the answer to any questions I had. They offered installation (which I didn't need) and helpful instructions (which I did need!) to install the panels myself. After installation the old panels were removed as well. “10 years ago I had A+G Distributors/Mid-Can Door install a new Amar garage door on my
garage. The opening for the garage overhead door was enlarged from 10 feet to 14 feet so
there were no reference points from the old opening that could be used for the new install. The
door was hung expertly to my very exacting standards for workmanship and had operated
perfectly for 10 years without a problem.
Recently, a freezing rain event resulted in the weather stripping being frozen to the pavement
and torn out of the bottom panel when I went to open the door. Usually the door just won’t
open under those conditions but the galvanized metal clip that hold the rubber WX stripping
just popped out of the channel in the bottom panel of the door and the WX strip was frozen to
the pavement while the door opened. Initially I felt I might be able to reinstall the WX strip
myself but after a quick assessment that proposition proved to be a little trickier than I initially
thought. So I decided to call A+G to see if I could get a service call scheduled to address this
matter. A crew was scheduled and on-site the next day. They had to drop a panel off the door
to reinstall the WX stip. The 2-man crew worked efficiently and expertly to reattach the WX
strip, secure it with sheet metal screws, remount the bottom door panel, realign the door
tracks and lubricate the springs, rollers and track as well as make some further adjustments. All
the work was completed within an hour. It was a job that should only be done by professional
installers and I’m glad I called A+G / Mid Canada for the service appointment. Hard to imagine
that you can get a 24 hour turn around on a service calls today but that is what A+G/Mid
Canada delivered. The work was done to my complete satisfaction and the door
adjustments/lubrication has the door operating (ie. quiet/smooth) as if it were brand new and
not 10 years old. I would definitely recommend using the qualified professionals from A+G/Mid
Canada for any of your overhead door maintenance issues.”
